KUPEL’S BAKERY OPENED IN 1978, at the original site of Bagel King.
It took two years of renovations, and a lifetime of savings to start the bakery. At the start, business was slow, while the owners, Allan and Diane Kupelnick, built their reputation for quality products.
It took about two years before things really got going, and although they thought of producing donuts, decided to focus on bagels instead. Lots of different bagels, all hand-made, all of the time. They also produced breads, birthday cakes, and pastries, but their emphasis was always on bagels and being Kosher.
After many years, the owners decided to sell the business to the family of their long time employee and then manager of the store. They have entrusted us with their well-deserved and hard earned reputation for producing delicious and high quality kosher products.
Being the manager for over 20 years, familiar with the products as well as the nature of the business, we strive on maintaining the high quality of the products as well as continuing to provide the best service to our loyal and dedicated customers. Thanks to our costumers we were decorated many times for being one of the best bagel shops in the United States as a result we will continue with the tradition and all the hard work for them.
Originally opened until 2 AM on the weekends, now we are open until one hour before sundown on Friday and closed on Saturday.
